Sustainable Materials Solution

Our Business

We are in the business of empowering people to live sustainably through materials that are:

Biodegradable and Compostable

Biodegradable materials refer to materials that can be decomposed by microorganisms into natural substances. Compostable materials are a subset of biodegradable materials that can be processed in a specified manner in order to produce compost, typically recognized as a nutrient rich soil or fertilizer. Plastic that is made up of biodegradable or compostable materials are increasingly used in disposable products, also known as single use plastics. Great offers different grades of biodegradable resins suitable for home compostable or industrially compostable end products. The purpose of these products is to lessen waste wherever it is unavoidable.

Post consumer recycled (PCR)

PCR plastics are made up of recycled plastic like PET, PP, or PE. Incorporating recycled materials into new products extends their use and helps drive a circular economy.

Biomass or Biobased

Biomass refer to natural raw materials. A biobased product is one that is partially or fully composed of biomass. Some examples of biobased plastics are those that incorporate agricultural waste or process from natural products like sugar, e.g., bioPE. Because the products come from renewable resources, they tend to have lower carbon footprint. Some biobased products can also be biodegradable or compostable.

Great Biomaterial

Great Biomaterial is a subsidiary of Avatack to provide sustainable alternatives to plastics. The team specializes in developing biodegradable and compostable resins and works closely with plastic processing service providers to ensure that the materials meet industry and end-user standards. The company has grown from its initial R&D stages to now offering certified biodegradable/compostable materials that can be used for various applications, such as blown film extrusion, injection molding, thermoforming, and film lamination.
